Back in the days before I was more involved in MNCREW, I was only peripherally aware of CREW Network and its website resource, www.crewnetwork.org. Now that I check the site regularly I’ve been surprised and impressed by the depth of this resource. Sometimes you have to do some digging but it is well worth the search. This week I quickly came across a few items of note that I wanted to pass along:

1. This month’s member feature entitled News You Can Use discusses opportunities in the retail market. With rental rates declining, there are chances for retailers to enter larger urban markets that were previously closed to them. The author of the article is a NYCREW member. You, too, can submit an article for consideration. Email Denise Kahler at denisek@crewnetwork.org with a brief description of your article proposal and, if selected by the Communications and Editorial Committee, it will be added into the monthly email blast and posted on the CREW Network website! What a great way to get some ‘pub’ for you and your firm!

2. A bit of a hidden gem is the Career Center resource (one needs to click on a drop-down tab). One valuable feature is the Select Leaders Job Positions. I’m signed up to receive regular job listings in our geographic region as well as nationally. The site regularly features several hundred job positions in the RE industry. It is a great resource for both job candidates and employers.

3. The website regularly has links to published articles featuring CREW Members or CREW Network. The website www.YoungMoney.com recently featured CREW Network and discussed the bright spot the real estate world is for young women – particularly with the support of CREW Network.

4. One last item to call your attention to is at the bottom of the home page. If you scroll down you’ll see an article featuring our own MNCREW Past President and VP of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, Gina Dingman. Gina discusses the value of the Network and her recent $43 million dollar transaction with CREW Chicago member Collete English Dixon of Prudential Real Estate Investors. Congrats Gina - what a great way to showcase the deal!
