Twin Cities Girls Take Hammers to the Glass Ceiling
CREW Careers: Building Opportunities® is a hands-on “Real Estate 101” interactive learning program that introduces girls tothe world of commercial real estate. Offered by MNCREW in past years, the
program uses a specific real estate project in downtown St. Paul to illustrate the various career options available within commercial real estate. The program is led by a wide variety of local professional CREW members from all fields of the
industry. Each young lady is given the opportunity to be “professionals for a day” and become involved in learning about and solving their own design challenge.

CREW Careers: Building Opportunities® is a participatory classroom program initially designed for teenage girls and entitled "Commercial Real Estate 101." This program will use one or more local real estate projects to illustrate all aspects of a commercial real estate project in order to showcase all types of career opportunities in commercial real estate.
Some of the program objectives as outlined by CREW Foundation include:
-
To help achieve parity between men and women by introducing more young women to the commercial real estate industry.
-
To achieve diversity by establishing the ground work necessary to increase gender and ethnic diversity within the commercial real estate industry.
-
To give back by showcasing career opportunities available in the commercial real estate industry to girls.
-
To feel good about helping young women identify new opportunities for self improvement, reach for new horizons or begin a path to economic self sufficiency.
